Joomla provides a built-in polling system that makes it easy to add a poll to your website. Here's how to do it:
- Log in to your Joomla website's administrator panel.
- Go to "Components" in the top menu, and then click on "Polls".
- Click the "New" button to create a new poll.
- Give your poll a name, and enter the question that you want to ask.
- Add the options for the poll. You can add as many options as you like.
- Choose whether to allow only registered users to vote, or to allow anyone to vote.
- Set the start and end dates for the poll, or leave these fields blank to keep the poll open indefinitely.
- Click "Save & Close" to save the poll.
Now that you have created a poll, you need to add it to your website. Here's how to do it:
- Create a new article or open an existing one.
- Place the cursor where you want to insert the poll.
- Click the "Poll" button in the editor toolbar.
- Select the poll that you want to insert, and then click "Insert".
- Save the article.
That's it! Your poll is now live on your website. Visitors can vote by selecting one of the options and clicking the "Vote" button. Once a visitor has voted, they will be shown the results of the poll.
